For children & adults (14-40 years) ONLINE Timings: 9:45 am to 5:30 pm (with breaks) PHYSICAL timings: 10 am to 2 pm

What is VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM?

Over two-thirds of individuals with Intellectual Disabilities are unemployed. Majority who do work, work only part time. Youth with an ASD have poor postsecondary employment and education outcomes.

Individuals with ASD require more expensive services. Majority require on-the-job supports and are  likely to be denied vocational services.

Providing training in a variety of settings increases the likelihood that skills will be exhibited in employment settings. Vocational training is the best way to train them for all opportunities of there interest thereby availing employment for them.

Modules for VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAM

This course aims to trains the youth with ASD to produce a range of items ranging from jewellery to chocolates and cookies to house hold products like table mats, trays, coasters, etc. The program also trains them to develop independence in domestic tasks. These items are sold at a number of exhibition cum sales. They are also ordered in bulk by various well-known  companies. The emphasis here is to develop fine motor skills , kitchen/domestic skills and most importantly for independent living.
